Tunnel Surface Documentation with Laser and Camera

The Dibit system is a mobile platform which allows the flexible combination of different sensors for the mapping of tunnels, railways and other linear structures. While the field of application of Dibit is quite different to PRoVisG, the technology (hard and software) used is likely the same.

The mapping resolution is in the range of 1 mm or better and the real time visualisation of the data enables to reduce the cost efforts and provides an advantage for time critical applications demanding fast decisions (e.g. detection of cracks in tunnel walls). Additional the thematic information is provided to the user.

3D Vision processing for Dibit is performed fully automatic. Both data acquisition and processing can be operated by non-expert users.
